Yes, there actually quite a few! In fact, there are more dog-friendly restaurants in Oklahoma City than we first thought. All of us on the Sunset Veterinary Clinic team are keeping our eyes open for local establishments that treat pets like one of the family, and we’ll update this list as we find more. If you find some, pitch into this list too! These are the restaurants we specifically know have dog-friendly policies or dining areas (with links to their specific dog policies):
Fat Dog Kitchen and Bar—Fat Dog was actually featured in this “dog’s-eye view” blog about Oklahoma City. Quiet, well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome in the patio dining area. They even provide special dog-only bowls for doggie dining.
Picasso Cafe—Picasso has a wide range of dishes for a variety of dietary needs including canines. Furry friends are welcome to enjoy something from their doggie treats menu while their owners enjoy their meals and drinks (patio only).
Bleu Garten—This outdoor eating extravaganza with a rotating cast of food trucks also welcomes dogs. Just remember to keep them leashed and under control and to clean up after them if necessary (see further down in their FAQ section for details).
Rock & Brews—If rock and roll and good food with your best furry buddy are on the menu, go on down to Rock & Brews. While they don’t post specific dog policies, they are open about inviting dogs over: here and here. Just keep your buddy mellow on a leash and everything’s great.
Tucker’s Onion Burgers—Dogs are welcome on the patio where they have a special dog watering station and will even make your dog an onion-free burger (onions are toxic for dogs).
These are just a few of the dog-friendly restaurants in Oklahoma City that openly advertise their canine-friendly atmosphere. There are probably several others. We’ve heard tell that the following may also be on this list, but they don’t have specific website copy that says so:
- The Pump Bar
- Fassler Hall
- Louie’s (On the Lake)
- The Patriarch
- Urban Johnnie
- Yucatan Taco Stand
- Earl’s Rib Palace
- Fuzzy’s Taco Shop
And please, let us know if you have visited any other dog-friendly restaurants we haven’t mentioned. We’d like to keep updating this list so more Oklahoma City dog people know where they can take their furry friends out for a good time.
