The 4RKids Foundation provides adults with developmental disabilities a place where they can find meaningful employment within an integrated community setting. Among the products created in their center are “Good Boy Biscuits”, perfect treats for man’s best friend. The foundation sells approximately 1,200 pounds of dog biscuits a year, enough to satisfy even the hungriest pup’s cravings! According to the 4RKids Foundation Staff,
“The best part about owning a shop in Oklahoma is the supportive community. Oklahoma is a huge supporter of handmade items and we all love to promote and support each other!”

Make your pet feel extra special this season with a stylish bow from Beaus Bowtiquee. The local artist behind these glamorous accessories sets up shop in a house with five Yorkies and one German Shepherd, whose name is, of course, Beau. Shop owner Kierra Keeton says,
“One of my favorite parts of operating a pet shop is receiving messages from people sending me pictures of their dogs just to show them off! I love doing this for other dog owners like me who love to spoil their dogs and add a little something extra that you would not normally find in stores.”
“The most popular pet gift is our newest addition to our shop, the Rufftic Charm hand stamped dog charms. When folks purchase from our Rufftic Charm line, they receive a Rufftic Charm Leaf Logo Charm for free, but most importantly: half of RC’s proceeds go towards pet charities.”
Can’t get enough of Rufftic Charm’s…charm? Check out the adventures of their two pups, a Blue Heeler named Wrecks and a new baby Doxie named Jake, on the family’s Instagram account.
Sweeten up your pup’s breath with Earth’s Answer’s “No More Bad Dog Breath Oral Care Spray”, or add a spritz of the “Natural Holiday Fur Cologne” to help your furry friend look and smell great for all of your holiday parties. With 7 dogs and 6 cats, shop owner Vikki Schlegel is no stranger to great pet hygiene. With a passion for a natural, healthy lifestyle, Vikki’s favorite part about operating a shop in Oklahoma is meeting new pets and pet owners and helping them find ways to improve their lives.
If your fur-child is frequently called your “little diva” or “princess”, then it might be time to let her look match her attitude! From glamorous to trendy, these tutu dresses are sure to bring out the sparkle in your dog’s eyes. With a shop named after her pet Chihuahua, Cartier Le Papu, shop owner Omayra loves being able to create a product that is exclusive and elegant for her customers.

Can’t get enough of the fashion-forward puppy styles? Try a tulle tutu! TyLibra Michelle from Tutus byTyLibra filled us in on her best-selling items,
“Since it is so close to Christmas my most popular item right now is the Christmas sparkle dog/pet tutu. But the item I sell the most is the dog/pet tutu in your choice of color, particularly the white with silver glitter tutu – for pet owners that want to include their pet in the wedding or engagement photos.”
You didn’t think we forgot about your purr-fect feline friend, did you? The most popular item sold in the OklahomaMama shop, these stylish cat collars have been shipped around the world, as far as Moscow, Russia and the island of Malta. Shop owner Brenda Schardine is quick to admit,
“I am a cat lady (the “crazy” part is highly debatable.) Last Christmas I gave all my cats Christmas collars, so I think this year I will be crocheting them some toys from leftover yarn.”
Are your pets included in your Christmas party plans this season? Dress up your canine to the nines with a tuxedo bandana! What are the most popular items from Chic Canine Couture? We asked shop owner Cathy Dennis to let us know her best-sellers and her favorite part of operating a shop in Oklahoma,
“Our most popular items are the tuxedo bandana and the bow-tie collar. Our pets are such an important part of our family and when important events come around, such as weddings, family photos, and parties, we want them to be included. My favorite part of running this shop is the wonderful feedback we get from customers who are pleased with our products. It is very satisfying to have your work appreciated.”
If you enjoy evening strolls around the park with your pup, you should consider a reflective collar. Shop owner Holly Embry adopted a German Shepherd several years ago, and recognized a need for a reflective collar after taking her dog out for nighttime walks. “Our dog has become a major part of the family, and the fact that she is so dear to me inspired these reflective dog collars. I use a high-quality yarn woven with neon colors and reflective fibers for added safety during the daily fitness routine we’ve come to love (evening walks).”
As far as her shop goes, Holly is quick to add,
“Operating a handmade business in Oklahoma is wonderful, because the people here are especially receptive to the idea of buying local. In addition to my Etsy shop, I enjoy setting up at the occasional craft show just because it’s nice to meet members of the community and fellow makers. Running a small business in Oklahoma makes you realize how truly friendly our state can be.”
Last but certainly not least, if your dog has behaved well all year long (or at least tried) and deserves an extra treat during the holiday season, these treats are the perfect way to kick off the season. These beauties look fit for a family get-together, but they’re made with canines in mind. Kaitlin Anderson operates her shop in Norman and has had plenty of success with these puppy treats.
“Our most popular item during Christmas time is our assorted grain-free dog treats Christmas gift box. It is fun because it allows you to have several different Christmas shapes and they are peanut butter flavored, which you can never go wrong with! Then pet parents are happy with it because they are grain-free and therefor completely safe and healthy for their fur-babies!”
If you’re looking for ways to spoil your furry family members this holiday season, look no further than Oklahoma’s amazing local shops and makers. This state is filled with talented people who love their pets as much as we do, and we love supporting them throughout this season.
