American Cancer Society Bark For Life

We wanted to take some time to highlight an event that’s happening in Oklahoma City tomorrow evening: the American Cancer Society’s “Bark For Life” – A Canine Event to Fight Cancer. Described by the American Cancer Society as a “noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer,” this event is sure to bring out a great group of people who are willing to step up and donate to a great cause.

Let us not forget that cancer can affect all of us, including our pups. Even though event registration is already closed, there is still time to donate. If you have friends that have signed up for this event then feel free to donate to them specifically (or their team name if they’re on a team). If not, you can still make a general donation to the cause. Donations are up to $24,179 this year! We can help make that total grow. Be sure to put this event on your calendar for next year because you’re assured to have fun: walks, runs, demonstrations, contests, games, live music and all the dogs! What more is there to want?

Sponsors for the benefit include INTEGRIS Cancer Institute, Jam Events and Productions, Full Circle Obedience, Raising Canes, Valier Hospice, Access Midstream, A1 Pet Emporium, Jersey Mike’s, Dog Talk, Communication Federal Credit Union and The Senior Journal.
